Glycerine

Vegetable derived Humectant found in UPLIFT CLEANSE + CARE


Glycerine draws in moisture to the hair and scalp, which helps to create a barrier to prevent moisture from leaving the skin and hair follicles. This helps to strengthen the hair, prevent hair breakage, increases hair growth and eliminates dandruff.

It is produced using a traditional method, hydrolysis of fats and fermentation of sugars using alkali carbonates.

Aloe barbadensis (Aloe Vera) leaf juice

Natural conditioning agent found in UPLIFT CLEANSE


This all natural conditioning agent hair, stimulates hair growth by improving scalp health and hair follicles + treats dandruff and itchy scalp. Aloe vera juice contains 18 amino acids which can repair dry or brittle hair strands and strengthen hair. It also soothes dry/irritated scalps due to its anti-inflammatory properties. It contains vitamin C, D and E which contributes to cell turnover, promoting healthy cell growth and shiny hair.

How it's made: The aloe vera leaves are washed, homogenized, filtered, and spray dried to make powder.

Sodium Coco-Sulfate

Coconut derived surfactant used in UPLIFT CLEANSE

A powerhouse surfactant that removes dirt and grease super effectively, this is the gentlest of sulfates and is shown to be gentle even on sensitive skin.
How its made: Using a blend of fatty acids from the coconut oil, they are reacted with sulfuric acid, then sodium carbonate, to create sodium coco sulfate.

Sodium Lauroamphoacetate

Naturally derived surfactant used in UPLIFT CLEANSE

A mild surfactant that is gentle on the hair and removes dirt and grease effectively.

How it's made: Made by reacting aminoethylethanolamine with fatty acyl compounds. Lauric acid is one of its starting materials, which is derived from the distillation of fatty acids found in coconut oil.

Decyl Glucoside

Naturally derived surfactant used in UPLIFT CLEANSE

Natural, non-drying and gentle surfactant that removes dirt and grease effectively.

How it's made: By the reaction of glucose from corn starch with the fatty alcohol, decanol which is derived from coconut oil.

Cocamidopropyl Betaine

Naturally derived surfactant used in UPLIFT CLEANSE

Natural surfactant that creates rich and thick lather. It also helps to increase the shampoos viscosity and creates a nice, smooth texture to products.

Geogard 221

Synthetic preservative used in UPLIFT CLEANSE (COSMOS organic/natural approved preservative)

Effectively protects product from harmful bacteria.

How it's made: Benzyl alcohol is prepared by the hydrolysis of benzyl chloride using sodium hydroxide. Dehydroacetic acid is produced by base-catalysed dimerization of diketene.
